2nd Annual 9/11 Remembrance Event:
“An Unforgettable Evening of Tribute and Inspiration”

Audience & Video Viewer Reviews

“My husband and I were very fortunate to be invited to this event and were delighted by how interactive and focused it was on art, history, and honoring those who sacrificed for our country. We really enjoyed the stories that were shared, and the music by local and international artists. We have a daughter who is a young writer and were thrilled to hear that there is an essay competition for her to take part in next year. The singing, music and dancing was a lot of fun, and we left feeling excited that we were able to take part in such a great event. Thank you!!”

“Monumental Talks. This year was very emotional. It brought tears to my eyes. The Lia Tetreault Story. Surviving the soldiers by hiding under a porch in South Korea. She was lucky someone cared. After hearing what Jeff Swan – US Navy (Rock 22) speaker – said about taking ‘2 seconds” to “Smile” or just say “Hello” to a Veteran. The other day leaving Safeway, I saw a man holding up a sign. A Veteran? Maybe? Anyway, I thought of Jeff. I made a donation. The man looked at me and smiled. I and thought “Jeff, you’re right. It only took 2 seconds” to do something for this man – hopefully a Veteran – It made my day. My brother was a Vet and he had issues too. Thank  you Dr. Sanford Wright for such a wonderful evening. everyone left me thinking about Freedom, Family & Friends.”

“I recently attended the “Monumental Talks” event on September 11, 2025.  That evening’s patriotic presentation was so inspiring to me.  The presenters delivered such personal and heartwarming speeches, and the musical performance was so delightful and uplifting.

I wanted to honor the victims of 9/11 this year, as well as partake in a community event that would honor our Nation, our veterans, immigrants, and the freedoms we often take for granted.  This performance did all that and more.  It was a heartfelt reminder of what it means to be part of a greater whole, celebrating the values of courage, freedom and unity.

A big warm thank you to all the participants and organizers.  It was an evening I won’t forget.”

“I would like to Thank Dr. Sanford Wright and all the people that were involved in putting together this incredible Event! We need people to recognize more than ever that “Freedom” is not a given. That thousands of brave soldiers sacrificed their lives in order that we may enjoy our freedom to live how we choose to live. That without their sacrifice we might have been under Hitler’s regime. These lessons that the Monumental Talks have reminded us of is invaluable to where we are as a culture and a nation. WE need more of this and hopefully these talks will become an annual event not just in Everett,WA. but all over this nation!!!

Thanks Again!”

“Dan,
Thank you for your contributions to  Monumental Talks last night. You’re an excellent inspirational speaker.

I was extremely moved by your story and the stories of Jeff and the owner of the Sound View Deli. There are many more stories that need to be told.

The message should be clear, especially after the tragic events of this week. Our Freedoms are at risk and must be protected. Nothing comes without hardships and sacrifices. Nothing should be taken for granted.

I want to thank all three of you for being willing to share your important stories. I also thank you and Jeff for your service.

Last but not least, thank you Sanford for the enormous amount of time effort, and financial investment that allowed these important stories to be told  and hopefully passed down to future generations.”
