Main Instructors & Program Directors, Oly’s Dancesport Studio
Danylo Yanchyshyn and Dascha Wright are competitive Ballroom and Latin dancers, instructors, and program directors who have been dancing together since 2016.
Danylo was born and raised in Ukraine and began dancing at the age of six. He developed his early competitive career in Ukraine, training and competing in Ballroom and Latin Dancesport before eventually continuing his career in the United States.
Dascha began dancing at the age of five in Everett, Washington. Growing up at her family’s dance studio, she developed her foundation in Ballroom and Latin while training and competing from a young age. Her early experience also gave her an opportunity to begin teaching and working with younger dancers.
Danylo and Dascha began their partnership in 2016 and quickly established themselves as a successful junior and youth couple. In 2017, they became Kyiv Open Champions in both the Junior 2 (Under 16) and Youth (Under 18) categories. In 2018, they became National Champions in Youth Pre-Champ Ballroom.
As their partnership developed, they continued competing in the United States and internationally. They were named 2021 United States National Champions and 2023 Ohio Star Ball 10-Dance Champions, and have been five-time United States 10-Dance Silver Medalists. They are also 10-Dance World Championship Finalists.
Their competitive career has taken them to events throughout the United States and internationally. They have represented the United States in international competition, including in Riga, Latvia. They were also one of only two couples from the United States invited to perform two Showdance productions at the World Showdance Championship in Dubai.
This year, Danylo and Dascha were invited to compete in the Amateur Team Match at the Blackpool Dance Festival during its 100-year anniversary. Competing and being one of 4 couple invite for this prestigious event was another significant milestone in their international competitive career.
In addition to competing, Danylo and Dascha are the Main Instructors and Program Directors at Oly’s Dancesport Studio in Everett, Washington. They oversee the studio’s competitive programs and work with students of different ages and levels, from beginners to nationally competitive dancers.
They are the current organizers of a statewide competition titled NW Dance Extravaganza, an event which next year will be celebrating its 27th anniversary, and direct and perform in sold-out showcases within the studio twice every year.
This past year, Oly’s Dancesport Studio has produced National semifinalists and finalists across five different age and skill categories. In September 2025, the studio was named Top Studio at Summit Dancesport.
Today, Danylo and Dascha continue to compete, teach, and coach while developing the competitive and social programs at Oly’s Dancesport Studio. Their work combines their experience as active international competitors with their commitment to training and developing Ballroom dancing in the Pacific Northwest.
Mila Astremska
Mila Astremska is a five-time Ukrainian Latin Dance Champion, international top-category adjudicator, and Honored Figure of Variety Arts. She graduated from a choreographic ballet school and later earned a degree in psychology, which she applies in her coaching to help young athletes develop both technically and emotionally. Dance has been a part of her life since the age of four. She was raised in a family of dance professionals. Her mother was a dance coach and president of the Ronda Dance Club, while her father is a Honored Ballet Artist. Continuing the family tradition, Mila later became president of the Ronda Dance Club in Ukraine. Throughout her career, she has trained numerous champions and finalists of prestigious national and international competitions. Today, she continues to coach dancers, combining world-class technical training with a deep understanding of sports psychology to help every student reach their full potential.
